This Vitamin E rich oil is so yummy in so many things! I started getting into coconut oil maybe two or three years ago. I fell in love with cooking a little lighter because my metabolism slowed down a bit. But now it's gone from food to beauty.
1. Butter Substitute
I use 1 teaspoonful of coconut oil in my coffee along with stevia and a splash of almond milk. It's a much better alternative than the coffee creamers.
2. Cooking Oil
Substitute 1 tablespoon of coconut oil or so into a cast-iron dish and fry your eggs in it. It comes off the pan so nicely; it's a much better flavor. I pop popcorn with it and you have this nice sweet coconut with this tinge of flaky sea salt on top.
3. Body MoisturizerWhen I'm not cooking with it, I'm slathering it all over my skin. I use it on my cuticles every single day. I love to use it on my lips and on the wrinkles around the eye.
4. Dog Treat
Put coconut oil on your dogs' snouts. They are sure to lick it all day.And it's good for their digestive systems.
5. Diaper rash cream
What's good for momma is probably good for baby. Plus they'll smell like coconut!
What other ways do you use coconut?
