New LeanCEO recipe👉🏼Honey Glazed Spiced Carrot Fries
If you're like me, I'm always trying to get my kiddos to eat more veggies. Sneaking it in smoothies, desserts, and pasta, and the like..I was playing around the kitchen and my mind began to wander to my latest obsession- sweet potato fries. "Why do you like sweet potato fries so much, Mary?", I asked myself. "Is it the feeling of holding a french fry or the sweet savory decadence on my taste buds?" ...Either way, I decided I was going to try making fries with carrots and spicing them the same way I would sweet potatoe fries. And low and behold, they tasted just the same but a bit healthier. If I were to do this again, I would not line my baking sheet with wax paper...and I would probably double the recipe because these were gone waaaaay too fast!!
2 lbs carrots, peeled and sliced
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp black pepper
blend all ingredients together and mix well with carrots. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes on unlined baking sheet!
